What the software and this website do and don't collect, and what you control.
In short
Your test data stays on your computer. The software goes online only to activate and periodically verify the license; checking for updates, uploading logs and sending feedback happen only when you choose to. This website sets no cookies and loads no analytics or third-party scripts.
The software: what stays on your computer
- Speed-test data, device information (model, firmware version, IMEI, serial number and so on), history and reports are kept only in this computer's data folder and are not uploaded to the license server.
- Run logs (device probing, speed tests and licensing steps) are kept on this computer to help troubleshooting. They contain no license code or passwords, and IMEI and similar values are partly masked.
- A device's web login is stored on this computer after you enter it, so the next connection can sign in automatically.
The software: when it goes online and what it sends
- Activation and periodic license verification: sends the license code, an anonymous machine identifier (a one-way hash of hardware information that cannot be reversed), the software version, the OS type, and the version and time of your acceptance of the terms. The server records the request IP address and time solely for license management and abuse prevention.
- Checking for updates: happens only when you click Check for updates on the About page, and the installer is downloaded only after you confirm. The software does not check in the background.
- Uploading logs and sending feedback: content reaches the developer only when you export and upload a log, or submit feedback from inside the app. Diagnostic logs are encrypted and contain no license code or passwords.
- Speed tests: during a test the software connects to public speed-test servers and generates traffic (a full test typically uses tens to hundreds of MB). Speed testing is provided by a third-party speed-test engine built into the software and is also subject to that provider's terms of service and privacy policy.
- Device access: the software accesses the CPE admin pages you specify on your LAN and only reads network parameters; it does not change device configuration or reboot devices.
Buying & payment
- Payment is completed on the Alipay page; neither the software nor this website ever sees your Alipay account, password or card details.
- To issue licenses, prevent abuse and handle refunds, the license server records the order number, amount, order status and times, the machine identifier of the purchasing computer, and the request IP address.
- Order and license data is not used for other purposes and is not sold or shared with third parties (payment settlement itself is handled by Alipay).
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, advertising or social plug-ins, and no third-party scripts, fonts or images.
- Your language and light / dark theme choices are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to the server.
- Like most sites, the web server hosting this site may keep standard access logs (time, IP address and the page requested) solely for operations and security.
Your choices & contact
You can stop using and uninstall the software at any time; what is in the local data folder is yours to keep or delete. For any privacy question, use the contact options on the Contact & licensing page.
