Terms of Use & Software License
Please read the following carefully before using "CPE Auto Test Tool" (the "Software"). By clicking "Agree & continue" you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted all terms.
1. Purpose
The Software compares two CPE units (a test unit and a reference unit) in the field: it reads network parameters (RSRP, SINR, Band, PCI, cell info, etc.) from each CPE's web admin page over the LAN, runs the Ookla Speedtest CLI, and builds Excel / PDF comparison reports.
Results depend on on-site signal, network load, test servers and device state. They are for product comparison and reference only and are not a guarantee or certification of any device or network.
2. License & scope of use
The Software requires activation with a valid license code. Each code can be activated once and is bound to the single computer on which it was activated. It may not be transferred, rented, shared, resold or used on several computers.
If a computer change, OS reinstall or major hardware change invalidates the license, contact your license provider to request an unbind. The provider may revoke a license upon misuse, code leakage or abuse.
3. Device access
The Software logs in to the CPE web pages you specify using the credentials you provide (or the vendor defaults) and only reads network parameters; it does not change device configuration or reboot devices.
Use it only on devices you own or are explicitly authorized to access. You are solely responsible for accessing, reading or testing unauthorized devices. Some devices lock the login after failed attempts; do not retry wrong passwords repeatedly.
4. Network & data
Test data, device information (model, firmware, IMEI, serial number, etc.), history and reports are stored only on this computer. The Software does not upload them to the license server.
The Software keeps run logs on this computer (device probing, speed tests and licensing steps; no license code or passwords, and IMEI etc. are partly masked) to help troubleshooting. They stay on your computer unless you click "Export diagnostics" yourself and send the file.
The Software goes online only to activate and periodically verify the license, sending: the license code, an anonymous machine identifier (a one-way hash of hardware information that cannot be reversed), the software version, the OS type, and the version/time of your acceptance of these terms. The server records the request IP address and time solely for license management and abuse prevention.
Besides the above, the Software also goes online when: you click "Check for updates" (it sends the license ID, machine identifier and software version, and downloads the update); you click "Upload log" or "Submit feedback" (only what you choose to submit is sent); and while the Software is not activated or the license is no longer valid, it quietly "checks in" with the license server once in the background, sending the anonymous machine identifier, the software version and the OS type (the server also sees your public IP) so the license provider can recognize this computer and authorize it. The check-in contains no license code, personal information or device information, and failing to connect does not affect use.
During tests the Software connects to public speed-test servers and generates traffic (a full test typically uses tens to hundreds of MB); mind your data costs. Speed testing is provided by the Ookla Speedtest CLI and is also subject to Ookla's terms of service and privacy policy.
5. Prohibited actions
Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, unpack, modify, bypass or crack the Software or its licensing; do not forge or tamper with license data or emulate the license server; do not copy or distribute license codes or installers.
6. Disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from the use of the Software or its results (including device malfunction, data loss, traffic costs or business decisions). Back up important data yourself.
If online verification is temporarily impossible (network failure, server maintenance), an activated Software continues to work within the grace period; beyond it, going online is required to continue.
7. Changes & termination
We may update these terms; you will be asked to confirm again on the next launch. If you violate these terms the provider may terminate your license, and you must stop using and delete the Software.
Purchase & refunds (supplementary note)
This section is the website's supplementary note on buying inside the software. It is not part of the terms above and does not change them; the same points are shown at the purchase option on the activation screen.
- Product: a permanent device license (CNY 99, one-time), bound to one computer and valid permanently.
- Payment: Alipay; the software activates automatically after payment.
- Refunds: you may request a refund within 7 days of payment, reviewed manually; the license is revoked once refunded.
- New computer: cannot be moved by yourself; contact the provider to have it re-issued.
- Contact and refund requests: email the contact address and include the “machine code” from the activation screen (see the Contact & licensing page).
